History
Where should I start, better at the beginning. I am Chris van Schalkwijk, born in Amsterdam 1971.
During my childhood you could find me on my grandparents farm in Zunderdorp (Amsterdam).
My passion for the Arabian Purebred started at the age of 11 when I met Nestor Arabians.
This stable was located nearby my family home.
Back in 1984 Nestor Arabians took over the farm of my grandparents. Nestor Arabians give me my first arabian, named Acapulco ( Tron x Natella by Pomeranets)
After two years Nestor Arabians quit the farm and Jan Calis (Zenith Arabians)
took over the premesis.
I learnend the tricks of trade from this man.
In 1988 I got the opportunity to work at Gestüt Dieckhorst in Germany
as a barn-manager and trainer.
Immediately after arrival I got the responsibility of 34 Arabian Purebreds.
After a year in Germany I got invited back to The Netherlands to work at te new
Hamal Arabians.
I became the trainer of some famous world champion studs such as: Abdullah, Amal and the reserve world champion Komplekt.
I’ve always had a special connection with Komplekt and he is one of my all-time favorites.
After his winnings during the All Nations Cup in Aachen (Germany) and Oostende (Belgium) the organization of the World Cup was so impressed with Komplekt and his capacities that they’ve asked me if I could show him at the World Cup. So I did.
In that same year I’ve collected the reserve world championship with the Amal son Rabhar for Hamal- Arabians.
During various national and international shows I’ve won a lot of awards and great results with many different horses. Thanks to these results Arabian lovers knew where to find me and the idea of running my own stable started.
I made the first step in 1991.
After a year of running my own stable I’ve decided to join forces and started a new company.
Then Arabian Fantasie was born.
This stable became a great succes and a strong company in training/breeding/sales
and I’ve enjoyed it for 20 years
This success in those 20 years resulted in a lot of A.F. horses who are successful
nationally and international as well in sports and show.
In 2012 I’ve decided to sell this company. And in 2014 the company name is changed to "Arabian Future"
In 2012 We start a new company, CNC Arabians
Welcome to CNC Arabians!
